Climbing too high.She sees a horizon beneath those clouds
Heaven, it all seemed to her about
A spark of glitter in her misty eyes
This and that she never hid in a disguise
She ran and ran to the hills on top
Whereupon a ladder caught her eye
She knew it wasn't hers but she had to try
Little did she know it wasn't hers to pry
Up and up she climbed each stair
Grasping tightly yet she knew it was unfair
It wasn't hers to use
But it was the decision she chose
The wind blew wildly against her cheek
Wetness on her forehead ran to her chin
Louder and louder the wind beats
"Tighter and tighter," she repeats
The breeze slapped her hard in a cinch
And down to the seventh step she squints
Climbing back up, she draws strength
From her arms fully bruised hangs those tattered clothes
Back and forth she climbs and falls
Yet she wouldn't stop and gives her all
Now she climbed the highest stair
"The view from up here leaves me no air."
Her eyes searched the whole place
Without thinking that she left a trace
Her eyes bulged when the ground crumbled
And in her place she fumbled
